It's a cool car but it bugs me when I see a car where they clear coated over stripes.  In fact solid colors like yellow and red never look quite right with BC/clear coat.  Single stage is the only way to go!

The stripes may just be gloss vinyl and a pretty easy fix to replace with the correct matte stripe.  :dunno:

Could you expand on this? I will be going FY1 and would like a little more info on this. TIA

I feel like BC/CC on solid colors has a distinctly non OEM look to it.  With metallics BC/CC looks good, maybe a little better than original but not to a degree that it makes the car look incorrect.
This Mecum listing for the car shows it out in the sun where maybe the incorrect look is more apparent.

Here is a pictures of this T/A in the sun compared to a '70 GTX that was restored by a high end Mopar oriented shop using single stage FY1.

Just a couple further datapoints on the BC/CC vs single stage issue, here is a picture of a brand new Challenger T/A at an auto show, and of my T/A 45 years ago still in original paint.  Compare the depth and degree of gloss of original single stage vs the BC/CC on that FY1 T/A at the auction.  The BC/CC paint looks a lot different than the original paint.
