Hey everyone this is my first post here or anywhere for 20 years. I know you like stories so here is a quick one. My friend bought this car in 91 and put it in his garage. I helped him get it running and the fuel tanksprung a leak. We lost touch and ran into each other 15 years ago. He asked me if I wanted to buy it and I did. I towed it to my brothers garage and started working on it a bit in my spare time. got married and bought a house so there it sits on the back burner. OK so now the dirt. Complete 74 Challenger with A/C 318 904. Fuel tank was removed and I have a new one with straps and sending unit. Rear brakes were frozen to drums from sitting so long. I replaced shoes, hardware, wheel cylinders and drums. Car can be started with remote fuel source and engine runs great. Trans shifts but leaks a bit. The A/C compressor actually cycled on and off (low on r12) when I put it on. 98% of electrics work. Car was hit on left side at one point so drivers door sticker doesn't match VIN. It was originally white with a green interior/roof then repainted green after the accident. That being said, the right side has more of the typical Ebody rot than the left side. The trunk is solid so I never installed the new tank because I wanted to clean it up and seal it up with rust proof paint. There is a small hole on driver side floor pan and I have the patch panel. I also have the hood hinge reinforcement plates that mount to the body. I'll show pics of the major rot spots. The car is all there in various pieces except for the vinyl roof and fuel tank. My goal was to build a resto-mod using technology that was only available in the mid to late 80's as that's when I had my last 60-70 Mopar. This is a package deal that I'm putting up. I just want to rip the band aid off and get it over with. The deal includes running car with clean NJ title (car in various stages of disassembly), standard cluster with clock in the normally blank spot on right, left side remote NOS chrome Ralley mirror with gasket and clips (it does have some strange small birdseye pattern in the chrome that's hardly noticeable), 1970 340 engine (7-8-69) with 360 heads and e-body HiPo exhaust manifolds, professionally rebuilt early to mid 70's 727 trans with 0 miles (he told me to drive it a bit and bring it back to adjust the bands), 3 14" Ralley rims (meh), and a 73 833 4speed out of a 73 dart sport (had it rebuilt in 89, put 150 miles on it and engine blew). First pic is the car when I got it. the rest are how it stands now (it got shoved in the corner of the garage so I tried my best). I have more pics if interested. Asking price $6800 Pick up only. Car Located in Patterson NJ. Sorry first pic came out sideways. Engine is out of a 70 Challenger
