Hemi Stock Cam

Hi Everybody,   I'm in the process of rebuilding my 426 hemi crate engine.   I want to install the cam that was in the original 426 hemi in my '71 cuda.   I'm having a very very difficult time of finding a source for this cam.   I have not idea why a stock cam would be so hard to obtain so I'm turning to our community for assistance.  Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!  Thanks  Ray

Do you have the engine out and apart yet? There is usually  a grind or a part number on the end of the camshaft. Sometimes even who manufactured the cam.

The stock cam was a 284* adv duration with .470 lift and a hydraulic lifter. Anyone should be able to duplicate that spec.

Mancini offers a Purple Shaft repo cam that is 284* .484/.475. That's pretty damn close to stock.
