anyone know this car?..

no VIN or info posted yet......so don't know if clone or not

AC car with a shaker.   Don't think those go together.  That and low information upfront says to me clone.

Still a very beautiful car  :perfect10:

Not too many six pack cars with AC either....Great looking car though... :bigmoney:

Leaning toward clone on this one. Pretty car though.

- No belt moldings (upper door moldings).
- 440-6 with A/C, as already stated. Not available together from the factory.
- Missing reverse dash light.
- Missing the factory blackout paint treatment under the rocker moldings (even for a clone, details matter).
- Fender-top turn signals should be body-color, not chrome (again...details).
- Rear side marker housings should be the same color (white or black) as the billboard stripe.
- Ultra picky, but...red paint on stainless lower windshield trim / wiper pivot bolt.

Let's say it's a 318 Barracuda, looking like it does....what's it worth, or more importantly what will it sell for at auction ? Will it reach six figures  :bigmoney: :dunno:

I sense the value rising as we're talking.   :takemymoney:

I'm going to go with 90k.  But I'm the rookie here.

New details added:

Upgraded to Cuda 440 Six Pack specification with billboards
Dana 60 rear end

750-h2

From their description its definitely a clone. "1971 Barracuda upgraded with a 440". No mention of it even being a Cuda.

I understand apples/oranges.  But if this is $40k:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/234340669356?hash=item368fcad7ac%3Ag%3AG9wAAOSwQ8thvUN9&LH_ItemCondition=3000&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5338071934&customid=&toolid=10001&mkevt=1

Then this 71 clone would hit 100k.

Just saw today, Mecum is going back to Motortrend for TV coverage. No more NBCSN.  :alan2cents:

My guesstimate is $125K but that has a lot to do with how the underside looks and if it's a cobbled up mess under that shiny paint or not...

Since it is a clone/modified Mopar, the correctness (nit-picking) goes out the window. So what drives this to a $100k plus car?
'71 Convertible?
Paint?
440, 6pak, 4speed, Dana 60?
Restoration quality?
All the above?

6pack

I have met a lot of folks in my life that either got took or just plain do not know what to look for and purchased $10-30k cars in my lifetime well the same thing here just at much higher cost but fewer of them.  There is an ass for every seat.  I never did or would buy from an auction.  I want to test ride and thoroughly inspect.  Also, talk to the owner in person.  These cars will sell for stupid money plus the 10% as always.  On the other hand, I do enjoy watching them.  I wish the comments were a little louder than the auctioneers barking.  The networks don't seem to get it.

Sold for 88K    Plus or minus the fees.  I'm never sure.

I think that's a decent deal for quite the looker even if it is a clone.   71's have some kind of honey stuck to them
