In my experience buying and selling online,he who hath money in hand and payeth owns it lol! I've been stuck with a few items over the years doing this very thing saving it for someone till he or she gets the money together,tomorrow or the next day oh gonna be next week now!

  I've bought two cars lately showing up with a trailer and cash, despite there being an eBay auction or whatever was discussed on the phone.   

If its a decent call, it is worth getting there in person to look it over with cash in hand.
