Possibly exploring the options of buying a 70 Challenger
Or 70-71 Cuda Project or possibly a driver.
Wants
Fairly Solid
4 speed
Orange
White Interior.
I turn wrenches most days as a Hobbiest and have been for decades.
I'm not afraid of pulling something apart and putting it back together.
Dream Mopar would be a 70 Challenger or 71 Cuda
With White Accents and White Interior and a 4 speed.
Original drive train would be nice but not required.
At the moment no Automatic cars.
Budget up to somewhere in the 30Ks
You can PM me or post here

Do you mean the purple one with the 340?
Contrary to the opinions of some, I am not dumber than I look.

Talking about the 440 tribute vert w the 340 engine?
Seems to be close to your price range!

Car looks solid, original 318 car with a cammed 340.  Looks really nice, especially if you are going to "improve and build" what you like/  It is an automatic.
Decent verts are hard to find in that price range. JMO

So I can't copy and paste........Anyways on this site dated March 26th there is a 71
Challenger Convertible Link to Classic Car Trader.
71 Is White if that car is absolutely solid what car is the better deal.......The Plum Purple 70
In Long Island Craig's or the White 71.
Maybe someone can copy and paste that link here.
Thanks to All
Dave

I'd be careful with the purple one on Long Island.  I called and inquired about it and the person I talked to knew nothing about it.  I asked about panel replacement, engine build, etc etc and he couldn't answer any of my questions.  Been for sale for a while now.

Why is that a red flag ? Maybe he just bought it and is trying to flip, maybe he's not a car person whatsoever and it was willed to him by an uncle, maybe he won it in a poker game ...who really knows?

How much do you really know about the car you just bought ? :dunno:
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

True.  I did talk to the owner, and it sounded like he bought it because he liked it but knows nothing about it.  I would suggest an in person inspection on it.  There's a reason it's been for sale for so long at that price.     It could be just what the original poster is looking to get.  A nice driver/project car.

As far as the car I just bought - I did go see it in person many months ago and took lots of pictures/notes on it.  I knew what I was getting into when I got it - no hidden surprises.  Plus I got a ton of pics from before I bought it showing a lot of the work that was already done.  It took such a long time to buy it because I didn't think it was worth this asking price of 43K.  When he came down to 36, that was more reasonable for what it is.   :ohyeah:
