Fake cuda out of France.

Lots of commentary about this car out there.

Any chance of consolidating all these new cuda tag threads to just one thread on cuda fender tags?  I'm having flashbacks to the time on this forum where the majority of new threads here were Mason Dixon, or whatever he was called, posting loads of threads on every new E body listing that was made on ebay, and as a result threads on every other topic quickly got buried.

cuda hunter

Yeah, I'm doing it as there are only like 2 or 3 threads on here daily.
The count on the other ebody site is something like 30 plus per day.
Not much happening here.  Trying to get some discussion back here some time.
Gonna lose this site if we are only getting 10% of the daily traffic.

I can sure bury all these on one thread if that is the consensus.
Or just not post them.
Big difference from ole Mason as I am not listing cars for sale.  These are cars for record.
A majority of these are R code cars as that is all anyone wants to talk about on fakebook.

I've also notice this and wondered if our regular contributors migrated to our Facebook page. Hate for us to see the same CC.c fate and loose all the valuable info from this site too.

cuda hunter

That's why I try to post something every day or so.

I wonder too where everyone went. Whatever happened to Alan?  He used to post a lot.
I thought c-c.com sort of self destructed when Russ went a little off the rails.
Moparts is just a shadow of its former self. I have over 7000 posts there but basically stopped posting there over a year agoas it seems like 95% of the members left are trolls or losers I don't want to deal with
For B Bodies only is the sole car site left I'm active on that seems to still get a lot of activity.

RUNCHARGER

This site is hands down the best Mopar site of any kind IMO. For reference there is tons of info here you can find without posting, perhaps people are searching more than posting?
I'm good with you posting this info and including the Vins in the title is a great idea if anyone comes across one of these cars and researches it in the future. Pretty sure that is what you're thinking on it.

Yep, META, or fakebook have their talons in lots of things.
Yes, alan is over there mostly.
Same with the "other" members.

When there are not a ton of posts here, they seemed to disappear and got to fakebook.  Lots of stuff comes up in a period of a day or a week.  My only problem there is that it disappears so fast that I just miss stuff all the time.  PLus, I don't like fakebook. I don't like what they stand for.

cc.com did self destruct all due to picture hosting.  Without being able to post pictures and have them saved to the server of the site there is no reason to go there aside from reading words.  Most of us are picture junkies after all.
I wish Ross would have sold the platform to Cody just so the information there would have been backed up and usable.  It's very difficult to get information from that site.

Moparts is ridiculous.  I still show up there daily but yes, trolls and such.

Joey's sites.  the for only sites.   I am on all of them as I am a parts hound.
Fabo has lots of posts and i often get lost on there as the amount of subjects that get posted daily are a lot.
Febo is kinda slow but still has 5 times the amount of posting that we get here on ebodies.org.  I don't think there is as much knowledge there, no disrespect to those that are there who have a tremendous amount of knowledge, but there just isn't the amount of knowledgeable posting there.  Parts are still for sale there though.
FBBO, yeah, lots of posting there and some pretty good folks over there.  I primarily don't post there as I don't have many B bodies and have not had one that lit my passion for B bodies yet.  I have a 74 charger, a 71 charger and a 73 sport satellite custom.  All plain jane cars.
I have however posted over there looking for heater delete parts as several of the parts are exactly the same as the ebody and I have been looking for those for many many years.
The guys there can be really tough on a dumb ass.  Refreshing usually, but not when I'm the dumb ass. haha

FCBO has become my favorite car website to visit.  The amount of knowledge there is overflowing.    Those guys have a ridiculous amount of cars to keep tabs on.  Lots of C bodies.
conversations are great there and they are typically older, slower fellas so they have a different outlook on conversations.
The only issue I have is that Joey and his administrators are all about censoring any opinions that they see is opposite libtard, oh sorry, liberal content.  If it's conservative they knock it out fast like youtube and fakebook.
If you have not been on fcbo I suggest that site.  The comradery is better than most all other websites.

100%

I'm looking for my motor, trans and broadcast sheet for JS23V0B211303 .  I wish I could find more on it when searching it.

I don't like how difficult it is to find things on fakebook with vins either.  I can search a vin that I just listed here and on the other site and google and duckduckgo don't bring up specific vins that are listed on fakebook.  Therefore the listing of these cars on fakebook does not do the hobby much good unless you are there immediately and see the post now.

Thank you for your efforts @cuda hunter.  Sorry I've not been able to contribute much in the last three or four months.  I'll try and be less of a slacker after Christmas.
I prefer this site over others and would like to see it's use continue.

cuda hunter

I too prefer this website.
Mostly due to the people here combined with the excellent amount of documentation put together by @Cuda Cody

I have nothing to gain here except knowledge and friendships.  I do this for myself really and would prefer this site be it's best.

hint hint, would be nice if we could get more of the factory documentations that are over on hamtramck website to be over here also.  Would keep people here even more.

Interesting read, I wondered what happened here.
I'm on here, FEBO and Moparts.
I've always found Moparts to have the greatest depth of knowledge, once you weed through the trolls
This site has also been a great source of info.
I agree with the comment about FEBO, very limited tech info, seems to be more of a social thing.
I've never embraced Facebook, but I may have to eventually go to the darkside.

Mr Cuda

I was hoping that the slow posting was only a function of holidays and poor weather around the country. (Keeping car people from their cars)

Now on the fake hemi convertible, if it was priced like a fake, I would drive it.

The car did exist , many pictures and even a video of it , i can dig it and post it here, official documentation available , so no question it existed .
Now the car by itself is a reconstruction of it , not using a single part from the original car that got destroyed a long time ago.
What price to pay for it ? no idea ...

cuda hunter

I for one would love to see the early documentation of that car. I've never seen any.

I'd drive that car any day of the week. It's still a real car after all and I have never driven a hemi or a V code for that matter.

The price is too high for the car no matter what though.
