I am sure someone has done this already, looking for some Insite. I am taking a 1970 Challenger 383 convertible and changing it to the 1971 I want. I have added the scopes and 1971 grill. Now I am at the taillights, the car is in the middle of paint/bodywork.  What do I need to do to put 71 taillights in this car? I really do not want to replace the tail panel as all the changes so far are easily changed back. Can I just drill and fill holes? Pictures would be great.

Thanks

Mr Cuda

We got  held up before on a deal as you only wanted the taillights,  and I  wanted to sell the whole tail panel and lights assembly.
I didn't push it as I  assumed you had a 71, and only needed lights.
 Tail panel is different.
 Did you already buy lights?

yes, I have the taillight already,

Maybe I'm missing something. In the past, I've simply removed the '70 tail light housings and bolted in the '71s.  The holes in the tail panel are identical.
