The 956 radiator (3-rows) has smaller tubes than the aftermarket reproduction radiators. Larger tubes in a 2-row or 3-row reproduction radiator have more cooling capacity than the factory 956.
Glen-Ray makes a max-cooling version that uses the larger 5/8" tubes.
There are other replacement radiators with larger tubes as well. Some of those are aluminum.
