I think I've read where some early cars came through with flat hoods but I've never seen anyone post any pictures of them.

Hey @Burdar

Here s a JH23H car located in France sold new in Switzeland back in the days. 340  numbers matching, 727 auto. Sadly i don t have a pic of the fender tag.

That's a great looking car!

Here's an 340 A66 giving a 426 Hemi Cuda some stick.

I love the color combo!
Just put some 15" wheels back on it and remove the strip...
I wish i would have take a look at it when it was for sale 3 years ago. I was looking for a 4 spd at this time, now i have some regrets  :dunno:

The A66 in this vidéo belongs to @chal340
Maybe he will tell you what engine he had at this time  :bigthumb:
Challenger 73' 383ci 4spd ---> SOLD
Challenger 71' 318 904 RT clone ---> Stroker 318/392 Tf 727!

That video looks like a pretty good representation of how it was. Both cars look and sound like they are running well.

Chryco Psycho

Exactly , if it was a 1/4 mile run instead of 1/8th the Hemi would have pulled away hard , you could see that as it started to pull in 3rd gear

So a nimble 340 against and boat anchor 426.  The tortoise and the hare.

floorit426

Nimble 340, yes. Boat anchor hemi? I'm not so sure.

Mark_B

Yes, when I posted that I'd had a few beers and was thinking of the 440!  The 426 is the best of the best.
