I am not an expert but I did alot of reading on b bodies  before I bought my set of 70 440 carbs.
There were comments about the 90's reintroduction carbs being 71 up n95 compliant and using 4160 bowls.
Check the date code, most later carbs use a 360ish date and a 9.
Service package carbs from the 70's will have a continuation date code of production,  like a 2352. (Just a hypothetical example)
We know all ta motors were built in a group,  so they should all have similar dates. And early,  minw are 064 of 0

The left carb is dated 0890
The right is dated 2168 #3577182 4791

So a reintroduction/aftermarket carb, 216 of 88, or 98. Most likely a 88 with the part number added.

:iagree:   I think it comes down to the date they were manufactured.
