Could someone in 1970 or 71 order a barracuda, gran coupe or cuda with a 340 6pac?

not an aar or t/a. But a regular e body.  Could it have been ordered?  Did someone do this and is there proof?

I believe it was dealer added afterwards.
Someday I will have a J0b.

This sounds like a question for @6bblgt are you out there? over.

I would say no. At least not directly from the factory. 70 AAR/TA only.

The parts were available so dealer could do it or a customer just ordering the parts to build a system

This is what I meant by dealer added.

So, you couldn't order the six pak but you could order the hood and side exhaust if you wanted to.  I do recall seeing the code for the side exhaust on another cuda that was not a job.  I can't recall seeing the hood yet but?

FACTORY:
the 340 3x2bbl engine was '70 T/A & AAR ONLY
the side exhaust was '70 T/A & AAR ONLY
the "ducktail" rear spoiler was '70 T/A & AAR ONLY
the AAR hood was '70 AAR ONLY

the T/A hood was STANDARD on '70 T/A & OPTIONAL for ~6 months on other '70 -'71 Challengers (5/70 - 10/70)

Thanks.  I knew I had read somewhere that one of the few options were available.  I just didn't realize it was the t/a hood only.

At least that was optional for a short time.

I may be wrong but I think I remember reading a long time ago about the T/A hood being used as a substitute for the Shaker hood N96 option when shakers were not immediately available. I need to go back to my files and check. Possible ??
