Been too quiet, too long now from World Products re casting the blocks again.

Chryco Psycho

I believe the supply has dryed up again , not sure if Keith Black is still making them but no one else seems to be anymore .

I got my all aluminum 572 hemi from Tim at For Hemis Only.  Fantastic quality work.

According to a post on the net, Callies has taken over the casting and machining of the old world block for mopar. I talked with a mopar rep several years ago and he said they had 150 casting ready to be machined and waiting on a shop to do the work. There was about ten blocks that popped up on eBay for a few days and they were gone. I've heard that someone in the loop stepped up and bought as many as they could. My bet would be Barton. Someone had to supply the Super Stock crowd. They were out of blocks. Callies is a reputable firm so maybe they can get the castings done. Check their website.
Of coarse, things happen. Look at what happened when Kieth Black was bought out. I still don't think the blocks are flowing like the promised at the first. Then you throw in Covid, the election, social unrest, the collapse after the election  and the " Big Foot " stole the blueprints and we still don't have blocks.

I bought my 426 block 2 years ago from Mancini. There was a guy that had the block claimed but Mancini called him 3 or 4 times without a response so they sold it to me. Got lucky on that one because my original 1966 block had some porosity around a weld repair. I had it injected and sealed but I would rather use a fresh block.

I lost track of the drama a few years ago. If I build another one it will be a KB block for only a few thousand more than heavy iron. I've built all the iron blocks and prefer the early MP blocks for their stock appearance and lighter weight, I like original blocks but it's pretty hard to find one in good shape with no cracks or other issues.

Prett hard to find an original? I would say impossible nowadays. The only thing out there are the scraps that weren't worth rebuilding. The one I have I would be hesitant to use myself or sell only because I dont know how reliable the repair is.
