Hey everyone,

My wipers don't always return to the "home position" and it usually takes some finessing with the switch to do so. Should I be looking at switch replacement, motor replacement or is there something else ? Any help is appreciated.

Three speed? Motor park switch contacts likely, pull the gear cover/contact plate, noting the clocking reference tab location, clean the contacts with some emery cloth. Sometimes the contacts break off altogether, will need a new contact plate if that's the case. Can all be done without removing the motor from the car.

There is also a ground bonding screw on the back of the switch that goes into the dash frame, and that grounds the "Park" circuit for reversing the motor to get the blades to the parked position...

Monkeying with the switch could be partially grounding if the screw is missing or corroded...
