i actually don't like the modern Challenger until the last couple of years, those early 2009 style like the one in that adjust look super cheesy, the general lee job didn't help that chingadera.

the new mopar aren't bad but the original e-bodies are timeless. forever cool....

RUNCHARGER

Yep: The new Challengers still look bulky to me in the back end but they're pretty cool for a new car and able to meet all the safety regs of course. I love the originals as well and always will, I think the originals represent freedom a little better.

Regarding the 69 charger General Lee...   I watched the program regularly when it was original, and loved the 69 Charger.   However, IF i had the $50+ to buy a 69 Charger, i sure as hell wouldnt paint it orange, with a rebel flag on the top.    Those 68-70 Chargers were way too beautiful to ruin it like that !!

Today i own a 74 Challenger which i had it painted Plum Crazy with a white interior...and that is a beautiful car.   I also think the original styling was so good, that the new ones looking like them have lasted another 9 years and counting.

The beauty of a 74 Challenger is that you can still buy them inexpensively $15-25 K, (compared to 70-71 models), enjoy it  for 10 years and sell it for more than you paid for it.   A new 2019 Challenger with small hemi will run you around $40-$50K and 10 years from now be worth $15-20K..

Speaking of chingadera this one makes the modern general look downright spectacular.

I guess in our politically correct society, it's now illegal or at least immoral to display a confederate flag for entertainment. Must be akin to the nazi symbol.

Not sure I care for the car either. Bad enough so many old chargers have to be cloned into the general lee. It was cool back in the day but time to give that look a long due rest.

Not really my cup of tea but to each his own. The Dukes of Hazard wrecked so many of those cars. They did more to make 69 Dodge Chargers rare and expensive than anything else!
