People on another forum were questioning the fender tag on that car.  Other than it looking too crisp and nice, I don't consider myself enough of a tag expert to judge.  What do others think of the tag? Fake?

Headjam

Nice car! I wonder if they would sell me just the 8-track dash bezel?   :notsure:

cuda hunter

unfortunately this site won't let me transfer and post the pictures due to the type of file they are

Even if the tag is a reproduction, there is a broadcast sheet.
I'll have to look even closer to give me opinion.  But I'm no guru.

Here is the tag

Not the original tag, along with a number of added options. The post on the other site also shows the engine stamp, which I throng everyone would find interesting.

This is a very interesting A66 Challenger with a file in the A66 Challenger Registry. It is an original TX9 black/white interior. The tag does look very sharp, but reflects options that came with the car. The engine block number matches but look very odd.  The AM 8 track was added by a previous owner (R11 on the tag). The car was for sale on Ebay through Gateway Motors in September,2020 listed for $62K. WeBe Autos now has the car for sale. They have the original build sheet and other documentation. They have two other A66 Challengers currently for sale.

100% not one of my repro tags. The #1 and a few letters aren't the right font and they are a few mm thick, so they can easily be spotted.
The only thing flat earthers fear, is sphere itself.

Other options added: rim blow, power brakes, 15x7s. The block stamping is more than just "odd."

Barry, over on moparts says the fender tag was reported missing in 1982.
He also says the stamp is a re-stamp.

I didn't realize there was a moparts thread on this car.
For your reading enjoyment.
