I think @Brads70 needs another project........

Brad Lol I understand.

@xx88man outward it did look good compared to many I have seen.
Not mine. Just seen at a local car swap. Unfortunately no info other than pic. No info posted on car and swap person was no where to be seen. Hung for a few but then just had to call it.
Miles of rows of Chevrolet parts. 4 hours of walking with nothing for our crowd.
Waste of good sleep.

Oh man, I'd LOVE an AMX. People think MoPar's are expensive to fix... Almost bought one in pieces when I was a kid. Complete, but totally apart for $2,500... in the late 80s, should have done it.

Same here. In late 80s I could have had one for only the price to pay off a cousin's drug debt. IIRC it was 2,600.
Guy promised he would clean up afterwards.
Didn't convince me enough to help and not get caught in the spiral..
He is dead now.... unfortunately spiral continued till the end.

I love those things too!

Although after hearing Brads adventures on the Javelin, that sounds like an expensive car to fix!

I also have a story about missing out on one back in the day.

When I was 14 or so, I don't think I was driving yet, so late 80s time frame, my uncle had dragged a blue AMX 4 speed home from the Hershey swap meet.  The car sat out at my grand parents farm rotting a way for a few years.

My older brother and I pretty much begged my dad to let us buy it of of him and fix it up.  Keep in mind that my dad was/is a body man / painter and worked at my Uncle's collision shop at the time, so its not like fixing a car like this was out of the realm of possibility.

He told my brother and I we were nuts that it was a piece of crap that nobody wanted.  I mean I guess the frame could have ben rotted etc. who knows.

No one ever accused my dad of having a grand vision!

Oh well, later on I ended up with my Cuda, so it all worked out in the end, but still I would have loved to have that AMX.

1974 Cuda. 360 / A500 OD.  Yes its pink, no its not my wife's car!  Yes I drive it.
