belt moldings fix

So I went to the electroplating place to day. He said he will need to strip the Crome off the Aluminum. Then polish the meltal and then re Anodized the moldings  to look llike the factory had done them on the cudas and this process is my only option cost pending. So I just need to set this straight my moldings are Aluminum not stainless steel,but have a very shiny Crome look . Well  if this does not work ,or it is to costly I will buy a new set and hope for the best again LOL
