Someone gave me a supposedly good car cover to use. When I took it off there was a fair amount of dust on the car, it was outdoors. Washed the car and cover and again dust got under there. My thinking is this can't be good if the dust is under the cover and as the cover flops around from the wind it's scratching the paint?
Anyone know of a good cover or way to keep dust off/minimize it for something like a car show week/weekend?
Or am I better off to just leave it in uncovered and dust it off?
When at home in the garage I'm going to try some thin painters plastic, from what I've heard works well for garage storage.
What are you guys using and like?

I have the Superweave California Car Cover for all of my cars and there is some dust when I take it off, but heck there is dust on the car 2 min after I clean it too.

No matter what cover you use your gonna get some dust on there. My 2009 was covered a lot and still got dust on it.
Get a California Car Duster. I used it all the time. When I got to a show I would dust it off with that.

Ironically car covers are good inside. protects against scratches, kids, bikes, the wife taking a nosedive into you car.   :o
Not good outside where dirt and wind will sand the corners of your car.   :crying:

I can't wait until the day when I can be talking about car covers instead of bodywork, welding, trim, suspension........ that would mean that I'm in the driving stage!

I drive mine enough that it doesn't stay squeaky clean for very long, I feel a cover would just trap and rub dirt everywhere.

I try to only really touch the paint when I wash the car with suds.
