Did U-code cars get a skid plate?

I always thought that only Hemi and 6 pack cars got the skid plate.

There is a '70 Challenger r/t project for sale locally. The owner claims it was originally a 440 car so I assumed 4bbl. I wasn't really that interested at the high price being asked until I noticed the K frame had a skid plate, looks factory. I haven't seen the VIN. Did 440-4bbl cars get skid plates?

Yes, and the big pan too.... I've seen original N code cars with the skid plate but thats an oddity not the norm whereas the U code always got it...
