Does it bother you enthusiasts, especially on the 70 Challengers when you look at the front of the car. It's the positioning of the grill badge or emblem on the grill. At shows and cruises I've seen these things all over the grill or it's not there at all. Ok,what is the factory position, we'll this factory assy. line picture with this young lady applying the emblem to grills waiting their turn for assembly tells the story. I feel it's just one of those things that goes unnoticed until it's noticed.uniformity brings them together by counting the squares in the egg crate and securing the emblem. This picture has been around the block a few times but is still helpful. If you fret about the positioning of the other emblems, why not this one.
Thanks,   Al

I'd bet she didn't put them all in the same spot.......

Can't say for sure Katfish, maybe she doesnt know either. But, I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt that she was tutored or trained in company proper placement. Remember she states she's properly proud of her contribution to a finished product. Let's hope that after viewing the picture we'll see more emblems positioned from counting squares up and down. Good observation though.
Thanks,   Al

I'd bet she didn't put the emblems on the grill, the supplier did - probably with a fixture/mask that placed the emblem in the same place on each grill

Chrysler would NOT have accepted random/crooked placement  :foul:

So the whole Chrysler ad above was "fake news".......?
And as far as processes go, you're giving them too much credit.
I've spent many years commercial and military with more work orders and instructions than you would ever image building things in quantities of >10 million per month.
When people are involved, things happen and do get out

It's definetly something I used to notice when the cars were a few years old. Lots of times the grille emblem would be in a weird spot.
