Wouldn't there be a part number, an ink stank, or a molded Pentastar?

I would think those would be what to look for.

So what's the question. By the way Gene fit very nicely.y

I'd love to know correct answer. But an original looks like this.

that bumper is an original piece. In the back of 1971's there is a stamp 71 on the back side, which represents - you guessed it 1971. That's the only difference between the 71's, originals and reproe's.  The 1970 's have a blob of elastomeric material near the license plate. All the elastomeric bumpers are made for the same material , meaning the originals and todays have not changed, for structural integrity. There is another minor difference, however you can't see it once its on the vehicle so, at this point I don't consider it to be a major issue.

ok , ok, if you noticed the original bumper posted (white) the under edge is solid with on indentation on each side. if you see below my repoe there are several indentations. This 71 is correct can't tell them apart once there on the car, however, 70 bumper are basically solid across with only the one indentation. When I reproduce the 70  bumper, it will have the 71 indentations. I can make it exactly like the 70, but no one is concerned about what they can't see and the extra costs associated with this extra procedure. That 70 which is posted if straight,  is not to far out (to high) of the ball park in pricing.

I'm just re-posting ISB's pic of the original white bumper to make it easier to compare the two side by side ...

Thank you. Good information. And I'd like to just get mine sold so open to some reasonable offers.

Chryco,

Do you have a picture of the "blob of material" by the license plate that is found on all 70 front bumpers? I'd like to see what this feature looks like, for future reference.
