Hi, anyone know any quality, Mopar friendly, machine shops in Northern IL? Ready to start the engine rebuild and looking for a shop for dipping, fluxing, etc... Thanks in advance!

Opel Engineering does a lot of engines around here.  I don't have any first hand experience with them but know they do a lot of restoration and race engine work.

I'm currently using Mullvain in East Peoria IL. No complaints as of yet, but you'd better not be in a hurry. They've boiled, and magnafluxed my 440 so far, nice guys, but one doesn't rush them.

Well how far do you want to go? You do know that Hughes Engines is in Washington IL. just outside of Peoria...

These guys are a little north, but seem to fit your needs.  I haven't had them build my engine yet, but have had several good conversations with these guys planning it all out.  Mopar guys through and through and have been helpful as I work toward completion.

I concur with the Kilpatrick recommendation.  They know Mopar and did a good job on my 727 TF rebuild.  Another supposedly good one in SE WI is Westech Automotive in Silver Lake, just across the border from Antioch.  Can't help with anything in IL other than I have read good review of Opel Eng.

I highly recommend precision engine rebuilders in Plainfield IL.  Randy Crowley is the owner and his work is unmatched.
