Is the fan on reversed in relation to the engine and fan shroud?
Shouldn't the clip blades be facing the shroud lol 😂?
It came that way when I bought it and drives surprisingly cool 😎 normal
just goes a little above when idling a long time but not by much???
My other 'Cuda had the clipped blades facing the fan shroud
Thank you 🙏🏼 in advance

Looks correct to me..
Post a picture of your other fan..

Yup...I don't see an issue there :dunno:

The other 'Cuda setup had the clipped blades facing the shroud sort of IMO to give the shroud a little more safety space from hitting it.
The kicker for me is that particular fan actually had lettering saying "This side faces engine" ???
It was this one: https://www.classicindustries.com/product/1971/plymouth/cuda/parts/mp71012.html
Thank you for your quick responses  :notsure:

A little clearer picture, sorry 😐 not the best

Hmm: Well the second one is right. The first one I don't recognize.

The blade angle is correct on both not sure why they back part of the blades is clipped off

More food for thought lmao  He may not know what he is talking about but it makes sense to me as much as any other explanation.

Yes,  :iagree: the blade angles, concave to convex, make sense in order to suck air through the radiator into the engine compartment which makes the "Clipped" blades in the first one serve what function?

1 Wild R/T

The reason for the "clipped" blades is noise reduction...

RUNCHARGER

One factory early E-body fans the shroud has a convex shape at the bottom as well. Which is part of the reason they are clipped on the front edge. If you rev the engine up a bit the outer edge of the fan blades pull to the front a bit so that clearance is a good thing.

So do I have the correct 7 blade fan or not? My blades appear to be the same shape and reinforcement locations are on the back side as the first pic. that you say is correct but my notches are on the inside. I am having overheating issues at low speed and have exhausted most all of other possibilities short of sending my new Glenn Ray correct radiator back to Bob to have it checked out.

Sorry here are the pic. of mine.

Fan is on correctly , what about timing it has more to do with excess heat than almost anything , you need about 14-16* advance at idle with 34-36 * total above 3000 rpm
