That looks great HP, I got mine about a year ago and I couldn't believe the one I wanted was available.  Must be living right   @1Wild R/T I know it's not period correct but the blue with yellow letters just was not going to look good. @nsmall just paint your car yellow .......problem solved.

@Cudalbs Yes your black plates with your yellow car looks great....lucky.  You know I want your plates so please remember me.

I have a 73 Cuda and every combo of Cuda with 73 or Cuda with the # 340 is taken. Heck all Mopar or Plymouth combos are all taken.  Even misspelling Plymouth combos are all taken.

I have black plates now but I am too embarrassed to show you all until my car is finished.  Its so corny I know I will be teased, but its pretty awesome to me, yet super cheesy.  Stay tuned.

For the rest of you who got what you wanted...congratulations.

Don't get me wrong, I think it looks great & I'm not totally against having them on cars from the 70's.... I am totally against them on 2000 & newer vehicles...

When my '70 Challenger was originally purchased from what dealership I don't know. Somewhere in SoCal, I'm guessing here, although from my Cal registration April, 22,1970, by the original owner. It came with the blue plates w/ gold number/letters, 766 AVV, rolled off the assy. line Aug. 18, '69, LA plant. I made a very fateful error and changed my tags in 1983 to the reflective white w/ dark blue letters, and the so called California. Sun band at top. Why oh why did I change? Anyway originally blue plates gold letter/number impression.     Thanks,   Al

Just a quick update, I forgot to mention that the process takes quite awhile.

From the time I paid for the plates to receiving them was about 5-6 months! Guess the prisoners are not cranking them out fast enough!!! More likely it's stuck in DMV hell.
