I was searching though my parts a few days ago. I have found a full set of belt moldings for a Challenger. I have located all 7 pieces, and am thinking to add them to my car at some point. So I got some questions.

First, what are these things worth? All the trim pieces are in good shape with just a few small (repairable) dings in the drivers door piece.

Second, even though my car never had them, should I add them to the car?

And third if I do add them, what clips are needed to mount them to the car? And where to get those clips?

My car is not original, so I'm not worried about how it would not have ever had them to begin with.

I have no idea what  they  are worth. I removed mine cause they were jacked up and I thought it would look better without. You probably already know that  you  will have to drill several holes into the panels to mount them. If I remember correctly they bolted on with nuts on the inside. It's been a long time so I could be wrong. Do you have the studs for the trim?

Well, a quick search on ebay showed a listing for the two pieces on the tops of the fenders for about 500 bucks. Not sure he will get it but there it is.

I'm missing clips for 3 of the 4 pieces that need them. The 4th piece is still on the door it came on.

I think condition and original mounting hardware affect price a bit.  Any pics?

The proper clips are hard to find and I think almost every one is a different size on the doors. Before you make the decision to keep them, do a search and see if you can turn up the proper clips for them.
Personally I don't really think they add anything to the appearance of the car, but that's just me.

There were full restored sets at carlisle for I think it was 1300.00.  Perfectly restored.

Nice find Dave!

I did buy a set of those for my Challenger on Ebay. I'll say it was around 2005, and the seller had a "buy it now" price of $150. They were perfect except a dent in the molding that ran under the back passengers window on the drivers side. I bought them, but even back then, it was rare to find them. I can totally understand you wanting sell them and make some nice cash, but I don't have any idea what they are worth on today's market. If you want to install them on your car though, the 3 behind the hood slip on. On the moldings below the side windows, I wouldn't hesitate to use some Gorilla double-sided tape. Double-sided tape has come a long way in recent years. It would make for an easy install.

So far, after a good cleaning on the 6 pieces I have inside. The worst spots are on the driver's door piece. And I think I can fix that, polish these up and have a very nice set.

I really want to go ahead and fit them to the car. I was just curious about how much they might be worth.

A few pieces of original hardware are still intact. And the piece still on the door has never been removed. So if I'm careful I will get that off without damaging the hardware. But we all know how that can go. So a little help with what modern equivalents are available would be great.
