Good article on a very cool car!  Author mentions it odd that Plymouth offered the Gran Coupe as a convertible, which I never thought about before.  It is odd, and even more odd that Dodge didn't offer the SE package on Challenger convertibles.

Beautiful car!

Original "unrestored" 1st owner car.

I tend to think it has had a repaint but what can you really see on the web.

It has a unique look for the FK5 colored cars since it has the white top and a black side protector.

FK5 with a k4 interior
V1W white top
V5X black side protective vinyl
R22 or R37 8 track radio
Road wheels

Must be an N code 4bbl 383 with an orange engine.

Is the "super commando" 4 barrel air cleaner correct on this car?

Is the upper cowl blackout correct for this color car?

""The car is still owned by Mr. Cox, who bought it new! It is an unrestored car and was ordered by him on November 19, 1969. It had only 46,000 miles on it at the time. A beautiful example of a rare variant of the '70 Barracuda! It was so pretty.""

Ordered on 11/19/69.
Wish we knew the SPD and the vin number.
Would be nice to know a time frame from the order form being signed and a vin, tag, SPD being assigned.

My Challenger convertible has a similar paint combo except it has white pinstripes. The black clashes a little on that Gran Coupe.
I don't think the black cowl is correct but who knows, could even be a factory mistake.
I am not sure on the pie pan callout for a Plymouth.  My convertibles says 383 Four Barrel instead of Magnum.
Since the Gran Coupe is a stick, the orange engine is correct.  Mine is blue, which is correct for an automatic.

Beautiful car, love the interior in those Gran Coupes.

That's amazing if truly unrestored. Must have lived in a climate controlled garage.

To have that four speed Hurst shifter, it would either come with a 383+4 motor, or a 318 motor. No other motors could have a four speed trans. in 1970 in an E Body.
Also, the article's author states: "The color is Deep Burnt Orange Metallic, with a matching burnt orange interior. This is my favorite color combo on the 1970 Barracudas and Challengers—it's just so '70s"

This to me indicates that he really does not know much about these cars. That colour combo. was strictly limited to 1970 Barracuda Gran Coupes ONLY. It was not possible to get that burnt orange interior in any other Barracuda, and it was N/A in a 'cuda.

This tag is from my second barracuda.
For years I thought that I had a K4 interior as that is what I installed in it before I sold it.
But it is a black and white interior. I totally forgot this was a black and white interior.
I did not realize that the gran coupe was the only car with the K4 interior. I wonder if I can find that on the dealer brochures.
Apparently I don't know much about barracuda's either.

I'm sure it is in the dealer order book.  I'll post a picture tonight.
