Not sure if you made a thread.  But what is @ViperMan looking for as I will begin the cuda fishing with ya once I know what you want.  :bradsthumb:

He is looking for a round taillight barracuda and prefers blue but is open to a couple other colors . . . I think the price range is up to around 30K and wants something that doesn't need bodywork.  Mechanical issues may be acceptable.

How about location?  Does location matter?

How about engine, trans, and interior color?

He is currently in South Carolina so as close to that as possible would be cool.   Needs to be in the US or maybe southern Canada.  Oh yes now that you mention it, he needs an automatic as the wife has to be able to drive it.

I know he is trailing a couple possible cars now but has not secured anything yet.

Wow man - I feel kinda honored.  :)

Okay - lemme try to do this thoroughly.

What I'd like to find is a round taillight (72-74) Barracuda.  I'm not interested in numbers matching.

I'd like an automatic with a big block engine.  440 preferred.  I'm holding out for a nice, deep blue.  Viper blue is my favorite, but I'm open to the B4/B5 variety (no Petty blue, no offense.)  I'm also open to gold, white, steel gray, dark silver, blue'ish gray, or something along those lines.  There was one in New York that was "cinnamon metallic" that looked gorgeous but had a LOT of fitment issues with poorly built aftermarket metal...

Which brings me to the last point - it has to be rust-free.  I don't want to have to paint a car.  I already have a project, and the wife says "only one project."  :)

Now - price:

For white/silver with a small block, I'd pay around $25K.
For gold, gray metallic, or the right blue with a small block or non-440, $30K.
For Viper blue with a 440, auto, immaculate, $35K.

I'm mechanically-inclined.  So if I need to swap a motor down the road or make some repairs like a replacement dash, rewiring work, new exhaust, etc - I'm good with that.

And last of all, NO offense to anyone with yellow, green, red, panther pink, black, plum crazy or other cars.  :)  We just like what we like, right??  And I learned when I bought the Viper I didn't really want and the motorcycle I DID really want that the latter experience is much, much more satisfying.

OH - and location isn't an issue, IF I can get someone to look at it beforehand and give it the thumbs-up.  I'll go to California if the right car is there!

My only lead right now is the B5 440 car up in Indiana with rust under the vinyl top.  I'm hesitant to push forward with it, but I do have someone to go look at it.

The other B5 with a small block in Kentucky sold today.

Bullitt-

B5 is one of my all time favorite colors but the JA5's always make me drool..

This ones needs a dash & is a little rough on the underside & of course on the left coast

I tried emailing you viperman but my message was deleted as my internet died when I hit send.  I will keep my eye out.  I have noticed prices going up, but I am sure the right one will come up.  Sounds like you are a smart man who knows what he wants and knows to not settle for anything.  If anything comes up in North LA county CA let me know.   :bradsthumb:

Bullitt-
