Everyone jumped on the car in the video as being a Gen2 Charger, but after watching the video again I think you could be right that it is a Cuda. And I definitely think that would be a smart move by Dodge (yes a Dodge Cuda sounds awkward) to differentiate the EV as Cuda and leave the Challenger Gas.

I scanned thru the comments, foolish move I know, and didn't see a single guess on the other 2 clues mentioned. Just a lot of bickering about EV or no EV, like there is really a choice. I don't thing gas will go away in the next 10 years but certainly the EV market will be hot so Dodge has to have one. And awesome that they are stressing performance.

They reference to the hammerhead shark wasn't by coincidence but the name "Dodge Barracuda" is pretty risky to the loyalists.  Their pushing the fratzog logo pretty hard...maybe they'll call it the Coronet or Polara.

When they announced that SRT was going to be it's own sub brand I seem to remember hearing "SRT Barracuda" which certainly sounds better then "Dodge Barracuda"

At least in my head it sounds better  :dunno:

No Barracuda... the new electric car is called... The Charger... like electric Charger.

Seriously.

Watching the interview with the Dodge CEO it sounds like the BS semiconductor shortage has worked out for Dodge and probably the other manufactures also. Previously the industry standard was a 90 day supply of inventory. Now they are running on a 20 day inventory and sales are up 42% for Dodge and 36% for Chrysler in the last quarter. Creating a false shortage pulls people in for extra sales numbers and price increases which equals more profits. All of the large business have learned something new when they stick together to benefit them in the last year and a half.

If true, that would mean 1 of 2 things happen - either the current 4-door Charger goes away or the new EV Charger is a 4-door. I think either would be a mistake and don't think Stellantis is that dumb. I suppose there could be a 2-door and a 4-door model of the same car but that also seems very unlikely. Currently we are all just guessing, and that is my armchair take.  :dunno:

I know most people are still hung up on the fact that the "beloved Charger" is now a four door.. :barf:

But man....in my opinion, when a car looks this cool and has this much horsepower....I could care less if it has extra door handles on the side...so what if you can get people easily into the back seat to scare the crap out of them.... :burnout:  just my two cents :alan2cents:

My guess is a Dodge Daytona comeback and one of the "hints" is the fender reverse scoops / vents.
