I thought Carlisle was having a big 50 year anniversary of the E-body?

I see 50 years of Duster, 50 years of Pro Stock, 50 years Superbird and 50 years of just the AAR and T/A  models- not all E-bodies?

I'm a bit shocked. That would have been my only reason to go next year, to bring my newly finished '70 to it's 50th anniversary party. considering how big of an impact the e-bodies have had on the hobby (let's start with the first muscle car to push over $1million). a display of everything from the lowly slant 6 to a Hemi should be on display and everything in between. maybe I'll rethink my planning for next year
Growing older is mandatory...growing up is optional.

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I was told by higher management that there was a plan to celebrate ebodies . . But I assume it would be difficult to just honor one group when multiple body styles were in 1970  . . I know I saw a thread on the charger site where they were anticipating something for the 70 charger but someone then brought up the fact that the ebody is that year and wouldn't be surprised if they get missed because of that fact.   Not sure. . . Maybe @cudaboy340 someone could chime in and give us the skinny on what is happening.  It is still 270+ days away!

:dunno:
Drive it like you stole it . . . And they're CHASING you!

Won`t stop me from going, it`ll be a great time as always, just thought they were talking about an E-body 50 year thing.

The 1970 Charger Registry is Having a Party at Carlisle
We're shooting for the largest gathering of '70 Chargers ever in 2020!
We celebrated 50 years of the Dodge Charger back in 2016 so this display will be a little bit different than the other 50th anniversary displays this year. Since this is just for one model year, the 1970 Charger Registry is going to celebrate on the Showfield rather than in a building. We'll provide a larger tent and more space on the field to accommodate this special display.

We're continuing to work with the 1970 Charger Registry to further develop this activity so please check back for updates or visit www.1970ChargerRegistry.com for more info.

I see 50 years of the Dodge Challenger .  . . In the "Featured Displays" area . .  Won't matter, the ebody area should be pretty packed this year!

I'll be there, probably with a hellcat buddy. Already snagged reservations.

I'm thinking they will do separate announcements to keep the interest up?
In any case, we'll make sure the E's steal the show!

It doesn't matter and you have to agree there was a lot of special 70 stuff of interest. I agree on the Duster (and they were everywhere in 70), T/A and AAR, Superbird, Sport Fury GT, the HemiCuda was probably the epitome of image for the Street Hemi as well.

The Challenger was the Only new car introduced in 70 by any auto maker , the Duster was also new but tagged as a valiant which may be why .
Anyway it doesn't stop our group from celebrating the E body cars  :veryexcited:

If you want to get technical ...we could celebrate the introduction of the new 1970 AMC Gremlin as well
...let the Ford guys celebrate the new 1970 Ford Maverick, Chev guys do the 1970 Monte Carlo, etc...

I am guessing they will only announce it when they have a fully thought out plan. Having all of these 50th anniversary in one place is going to be tough even with the confirmed list they have. Need to make sure you can have all of these great events and still have room for all the other amazing mopars on the snowfield.

Chrysler redid most of their models for 1970, it's a big year!

I want to bring the Duster since it hasn't ever been shown, but I lack a trailer to get it down there.
Someday I will have a J0b.
