With all the excitement around the Nash Bridges reboot last year, I decided to start researching the car used in the show and find out what happened to them. I was able to track down every single one of them and this video goes over what the current condition of each of the cars.

lots of misinformation out there - be careful what you BELIEVE or repeat  :o

BEA Mike had nothing to do with the cars for the original series and/or for the reboot
- #1 was offered for the reboot but the production co. felt the  :bigmoney:  was too much

:alan2cents:  it's a shame that a numbers matching '70 340 'cuda convertible used in "NASH BRIDGES", that was still wearing TV paint got turned into a "resto-mod"   :bye:

Thanks for the information, and clarification on Mike at BEA. There is so much misinformation out there on these cars. I had heard car #1 was offered to be used in the reboot, but the production company didn't want to pay the asking price to use the car.

The original car was sourced and put together by Jeff B in Iowa.  Later on, Ultimate Rides in El Paso, TX was involved in putting together the cars used.  I personally supplied 3 of the Tuff wheels used as well as a couple of rallye dashes and other misc 'vert parts at the time.

There is one other car not mentioned, and that is a green '71 that is driven by a villain in one of the earlier episodes, and the car gets smashed up towards the end.  I don't recall if it was an actual '71 or was just dressed up to look like it, but the remains of that car were in the backyard of another noted Mopar guy in Napa.

Wasn't one of the 1970 340 cars originally from Canada, I remember reading that somewhere years ago

The blue 70 340 was the #1 camera car currently located here in Ohio, yes, there was a yellow 70 340 built for the series that came out of Canada.  The other 2 were 318 71 convertibles.  Bret Torino owned the yellow Canadian 70 340 that Don Johnson sold at Barrett Jackson in 2004 that is now a complete resto-mod owned by others.  Also, the interior in the #1 camera car was a 71 Challenger interior, all x4 cars were changed to 71 Cuda after the first season.  Ed Briggs out of Colorado was very heavily involved building the first x3 cars, it was actually a friend of his that owned the blue 70 340 they used for the camera car.

Yes, the #1 'cuda was offered for the reboot, but money/stipulations were not acceptable to the studio.  I've kind of had bad experiences with other media relationships in the past, with other cars, and did not want to repeat the same mistakes !!  Glad another guy got to get his car featured in the reboot, to give him / his car some exposure !!  Need to share the fame a little ??  That makes it fun !!!

The #1 'cuda used to have '71 challenger seats !!  Now, it has '71 'cuda seats !!!  Interestingly, it also has a remote controlled brake line-lock installed, not connected now, I guess for doing sliding / spin-outs !?!?  Can't wait to get it out once the weather gets better !!  I think I need to retire to somewhere warm !!!

I talked to Mike Ross this morning. From what I can gather when totally auto did the restoration they put 71 Challenger seats in it. But during the filming of season 1 it did have 70 cuda seat covers as seen in this picture.
