I am not sure it is the same car. This one looks like it has a roll cage in it. Looks good from this picture.

I have always liked the second gen Barracudas and the 68's were some of the best. The roll bar says there's a story to this car, but based on one long ranged shot, it looks pretty good from the outside. It's not likely a '68 360 as they never put them in A bodies (or any other bodies) in '68. Perhaps you meant a 340? They were light and fast. A buddy had a 68 340 auto and it hauled ass. If the price was right, why not?

The engine and tranny aren't original... so those have been put in at some point. Roll cage is interesting, don't know any details.

Mind you all, now, that I was only told it was a 68 barracuda fastback with 360/727/8.75 rear/AC car... Didn't get the pic till late in the day, that was when I got interested.

I 'think' 3 possibilities... none of which involves the one on the other thread that just happened to show up at the same time!

Formula S Commando 340 someone raced the bejeesus out of and swapped engines...

Formula S 383 someone did same thing to...

Maybe, just maybe, with the roll cage and how interior is under rear window, it might be one of the Super Stock ones with hemi yanked long ago. Don't know enough about them to say would never come with AC...

I won't be able to get more info on it till later next week...

Thoughts on Super Stock instilled by lack of side markers, narrowed rear suspension, extra hood badge at front, narrowed rear axle, and front disk brakes...

As Kathy mentioned no marker lights.... Which makes it look like a 67 to me... Which means no 340.....

I see rear round marker light, round 68 badge in front hood center, and Plymouth emblem in driver front nose cone.

The fender without side marker is 67 and the fender front emblems are not in factory location.

I thinks it's a 68 with 67 fenders or fiberglass fenders (they come without side markers drilled). So might not be a 68 Formula S 340 or 383 car at all.

You gotta look at vin, fender tag, body stamping on radiator support and drivers side trunk lip and build sheet.  Buildsheet is only thing to tie fender tag to the body in 1968.

The racer stuff will hurt value and reduce  potential buyers

It really depends on rust and how raced out and hacked out it is.

I like that body style. Almost bought one before I found my 71 Challenger.
