Stripes!!! I painted the car back in '95 and had a lot of ideas on what to put on it but finally going for it.

I think I like it, still getting used to it. I had a buddy cut these from what he had and I don't love the yellow,  it has a green tinted almost like Curious Yellow. I'll live with it for now but will have them re- cut when I  get back from Carlisle.

Ya, I thought about AAR stripes with a custom logo or Hockey sticks but there are too many like that already so wanted something different. I always loved the AAR race cars paint scheme so went with that theme. I may eventually get another AAR hood to put on and if I like the stripes enough I`ll paint them on at some point.

I'm not holding back in a negative way....I like, it's very unique, just not sure if it suits the whole car....I think if you had an AAR hood the stripes might look more "in place" , but hey..you're happy, that all that matters... being able to personalize your car to suit your taste is what makes this hobby great, don't ever let someone say otherwise..

I agree it would probably look better with an AAR hood and that is something I`ll be looking for at Carlisle. The one I used to have on it was a lift off with no provisions for hinges. It was always a pain the the butt to take off and getting old and decrepit I couldn`t do it anymore so I sold it - I need a hinged one!
