Does anyone have an ebody 1970 fender tag with eb7 on it?
I would like to see one.  I've not seen eb7 on an ebody tag before.

Nor have I seen gb7 on a 1971 fender tag.

Can anyone oblige me?

Funny...I was getting all geared up to post a picture of the EB7 Challenger I did, but apparently I don't have a picture of the tag :looney: ....Here's the original sheet, unfortunately printed on an E Series 1969 sheet, and here's Dan's correction onto a 1970 sheet.. :worship:

That Challenger ragtop was built around the same time as my first Barracuda ragtop - 119208.  I don't recall the SPD offhand...

@anlauto do you have any pics of Donny Cloake's '70 Hemicuda hardtop?  It's an EB7 car.

I had bought a 72 Charger in B7 back then.   Loved it !!  B7 is a little darker than the more popular B5, but, it is also a great metallic blue that looks great.   I think back then it was called Electric Blue if I remember right.   Sorry that i dont have any pictures of it.

Also, IF i remember right the E or G simply referred to the year.   I.e E was 69, F was 70, G was 71, etc.

Also where it showed up in the fender tag is whether its a primary or secondary color...   interior or exterior.

Yea GB7 was used in 1972, Doge called it "Dark Blue Metallic" (clever) and Plymouth called it "Evening Blue Metallic" (better) :dunno:

it is believed to be an "inspector's stamp"

the first digit of the 3-digit paint code represents the first year of use for a color ..... as @chargerdon  posted:  " I.e E was 69, F was 70, G was 71, etc.  "
Chrysler Corp. changed/updated/modified the colors as desired/tastes changed

EB5 (1969) is a different formula/shade of "bright blue metallic" color, compared to GB5 (1971), KB5 (1974), LB5 (1975), MB5 (1976), PB5 (1977) etc.

this is why "B5" just isn't enough info top buy paint or to refer to a car's color, many cars are painted in the wrong year's color  :('
