I have a 74 cuda that im trying to clone into a 71, I just bought a set of rear marker lights, then i bought patch panels to weld into the quarters to fit them, now i saw these mounting brackets, is this something I need or is there a way to put these lights in without these? thanks in advance for any info

You will need those brackets to hold the lights in place unless you can jerry-rig some homemade brackets...they also complete the ground circuit for the lights in 1970-71 unlike your 74 lights which have their own ground wire :alan2cents:

Are you trying to do something special with the side markers or just un aware of the brackets on the 70-71 side markers ?

You'll need four if you're doing the front lights too
