Just over a year ago I started a thread about my ABC dash pad showing up with a Year One stamp on the vin pad.  I'm finally to the point to install and am running into another issue, this time with the vents.  The far right single vent I was able to cut some of the foam out, but this middle one is really.off.  I'm afraid to do any major surgery because the vent doesn't cover much of the lower area.

Is this par for the course with these aftermarket pads or did I get a bad one?

Vent wouldn't even come close to fitting, right side is smaller than the vent

It definitely looks like the "cut line" for the foam is showing through the dash vinyl (see red dashed line). I would consider that a defect.
Hard choice on whether to seek a warranty replacement (expired?) or carefully remove foam from under the vinyl to make the vent fit without being crooked.

Here is a Just Dashes video showing how the shape of the foam is truly based on the craftmanship of the guy doing it. https://youtu.be/Jb3BQhDFWOI?t=844

Yup, noticed that too.  I cut two slits, on on each end of the cut line, and slowly peeled back the covering to expose the foam.  Then from the inside had to use an exacto knife and cut down the foam.  After a few test fits I got it to work, but it still doesn't look as nice as it should.  Not to mention one of the studs on the steel frame wasn't secure so it just spins when you put the jamb nut on.  I sent ABC an email and got a blank auto reply.

Not thrilled, feels like I got covid quality.
