So I know of a 70 cuda in my small town that has been around for years.  Sad to say the owner passed away a few years ago and his wife has had it stored  . . Not sure what she was going to do with it.  I believe it is a triple black original 440 shaker cuda.

Yesterday I had a funeral for a nice guy that worked in my office and while at the gathering after, she came up to me and asked if I would be interested in the car.  She knows my love for e-bodies and I was thrilled she offered it to me.  I haven't seen the car in years and understand that it will need some work and I am thinking about it.  Really don't need another cuda but . . .  :dunno:

Need to get a copy of the fender tag . . .
Drive it like you stole it . . . And they're CHASING you!

Let's just say that it is what I said it is, if I had Alan restore it, what do you think it would be worth?  I believe it is numbers matching . . . She said somewhere around 50k is what she is looking to get . . .

Alan is restoring my triple black v code shaker Cuda now.
Can you get a picture of the fender tag?

Chryco Psycho

I seriously hope you can get it  :bradsthumb:

Is it a 4 speed?  My first thought is a 440 Cuda is around $60k, but if it's a true triple black shaker Cuda then I could see it being closer to the $80k range if it is numbers matching and has a tag or sheet.  If it's a 4 speed it might be closer to the $85K range when done.   :alan2cents:

Do you know the condition of it now?  Rust, original paint, restored once?

I'm going to have to set a time to go and look at the car . . . I think it was an auto but not positive.  I'm told it needs some work and I haven't seen it in years so condition is unknown at this time.  I am already planning how I can get the cash . . .

is it a 440+6bbl? - I think you can count the '70 4bbl 'cuda SHAKER cars on one hand

RUNCHARGER

I think that would be a no brainer to purchase if the price is in the ballpark. That is not a car you could find if you went looking for it. If your total buy-in is a bit high today consider that it will be a bargain in five years.

Could you get AC with a Shaker?  The 440+4 is the biggest HP engine you could get with AC, but not sure if they offered AC with the shaker?  I kinda think I remember that it wasn't fitting under the hood with all the shaker stuff?   :notsure:

A/C was NOT available with any multiple carb engines - except for early '60s "long-rams"
A/C was NOT available with any "fresh air hood" - except for T/A hood on single 4-bbl Challengers (2 known to exist)
