Ouch: You hurt a few parts there.

Ouchie. That sucks. I am sure we have all been there. I nicked one of the bags on my fully custom Harley Street Glide when I was backing it out of the garage. It happens... luckily nobody was hurt and it can be fixed.

That's a horrible feeling, but could have been worse.  It doesn't look to bad and should be very fixable.  Do you have any extra paint or know the brand that was used on the car?  That will help make the blend really match.

js27

Damn I hate when that happens..Sorry it happened to you.

I have the original paint codes and receipts that was used when the previous owner painted it.
It is a single stage paint job. I don't know much about painting and body repair so I hope I find a good body shop.

It just irks me on how stupid crap like this happens. I was going to take the car out for a ride.  :Thud:

Sorry to see. No one hurt get the hammer and paint out.
Been there with a few minor ones on mine.

Stuff happens even when the car isn't moving. When I bought my Orange project I was hauling it up in an enclosed trailer to prevent damage to the new paint job. The end of the ramp of the trailer fell off inside the trailer and dented the trunklid of the Challenger, it was pretty upsetting but nothing money couldn't fix.

ouch!  :('   It will get fixed as good as new!

Chryco Psycho

Sorry to see that happen , but we all make silly screw ups  :bricks:

While it's a PITA; as per your photo, that doesn't look too bad. The bumper/quarter gap still looks good and the damage is in a spot easily accessible for repair. Blending the SS paint will be the fun part, but it's doable. Good luck!

Never like to see threads like this ... hope it doesn't cause too much pain!
Drive it like you stole it . . . And they're CHASING you!

I'm sorry to hear that happened that does suck in fact it just happened to me 3 weeks ago, I converted my Challenger to a 4-speed, I did not have my steering column in yet, so I had a jumper wire on the starter relay switch my car was in reverse and I went to put it back inside my garage, then I put my positive battery cable back on and wiggled it and it hit the jumper wires and it made contact and the car actually started and went backwards right into my truck, it's a 2014 Dodge Ram Laramie, I did $5,000 worth of damage to my truck, and the Challenger I damaged the trunk lid the two sides on the quarter panel all the moldings and the bumper!  But since I'm a body man everything is fixed now, but never want to go through that again!!

It happens to the best of us. Try not to sweat it!

Took the car to a body shop that a buddy of mine recommended. They do a lot of high end and custom work.
Will have them do the repair as soon as they schedule it in. The quarter panel buckled in two places just under the gas cap and between the
damage and cap.

Now it's time to get new glasses...lol
