Modern touches, should I bother? More to go wrong?

I put a power seat track into the drivers seat of my 74 Challenger.   It was a ton of work since the normal MINIMUM height of the power seat track is at least a full inch higher than the manual seat track.   To save my headroom had to modify the fitting so that the track recessed into the seat itself.   

I used a track from i think a 90's Grand Cherokee seat track, because it was cheap.   Bought one that all of the motors and switch worked but had a broken frame for i think only $25 off of ebay.   Welded up the frame and it works well...allows my 5'5" wife to drive the car and see..

I bought the Nu-Relic set up for my convertible, haven't installed it yet of course

I did a lot of modern upgrades on my car, but I have no interest in power windows, remote locks or keyless ignition personally. If there were factory retrofits that had solid components and factory reliability, maybe.

I haven't recovered the seats yet, but I will go ahead and add heated seats to the front, easy enough and very effective at keeping your core warmer. I do wish I had gone with an electric power steering retrofit, less fluids and such to deal with.

As I start working on the interior of the car / finishing the electrical side of things I am pondering some additions / upgrades:

1) Power Windows
2) Remote Door Locks
3) Keyless ignition

Please start a thread for your heated seats installation.  I would like to add heated seats to my 71 convertible.

Although I drive mine often it is not my daily (have a JGC for that) so not that interested in convenience features. And since it doesn't stay outside I just leave the windows down 99% of the time. I'm also not sure about electric start, kinda enjoy hearing it fire up 

But it would make the car more unique to have some modern tech in it.

Very few of my daily drivers have had all the "bells and whistles", usually due to money/price of new vehicle but I really don`t care for too much anyways - just more things to go wrong. I do like the basic options - automatic. a/c, crusie control, power locks and windows, all the others I consider nice but not neccesary. My Barracuda is far from a daily only seeing a couple thousand miles a year in nice weather so there are really not many convenience options I would want in it, power windows would be nice so I could control the passenger one while driving but I wouldn`t bother with a/c as we don`tget that many really hot days here in New England. No interest in adding remote entry, power/heated seats or anything else like that.

I put power windows and remote entry/locks in my Challenger. Really nice to be able to roll all the windows up or down from the driver's seat. I went with the XV Racing/NuRelics kit. Not difficult at all to install. The door locks is just another nicety that I've become accustomed to with my daily driver, so why not?

Modern niceties make the car more enjoyable. There's a reason on most cars now adays, it's standard equipment.
