I'm replacing a 318 with a 340 and the long horizontal motor mount bolt is preventing the mount from seating all the way, has anyone else ran into this issue?

RUNCHARGER

Yes: The 340 uses a different engine mount than a 318. You can space it to make it work but finding the correct mount is better of course.

Are you installing them the same direction and side they came out?

Not sure if you are having the same problem of the motor mount to the K-Frame pad. It has to do with the wrong index location of the new mount mounting holes. You can take a look at this thread last two pages. You need to log-in to see pictures.

Get a mount from Schumacher or Mity Mount. The Mity mount might still require some work. The Schumacher Polyloc are backorder for a long time. You need to call them or see if you can get it from PST. Alternative is get their standard  mount plus the motor mount restraint.

Only the left mount is different but I agree with Sheldon that getting a proper mount is better

Pictures would help a lot here.  Your question is somewhat vague.   You don't say what mounts you are using.  Are you trying to use the 318 mounts on the 340 or did you get 340 mounts.  Is your problem with the mount to block connection or a problem with the mount to K-member connection?
