I follow graveyard cars and have bought some stuff from Mark in the past...This came up...Check it out...Mark's finds

Mr Cuda

Crazy. Like they didn't know they had a couple of Cudas in the back shop.
I guess I forgot about those?

Something doesn't sound right, these cars just got lost in the shuffle?

People lose far more valuable items throughout their shuffles.

Pretty cool story. Not many of those made in that configuration.

That would be amazing to be hunting past dealership owners garages and come upon this pair of beauties!
Sure hope they don't get driven much.  I'm sure a high dollar collector will have them in a giant showroom somewhere.

Anyone have more information on these cars?

Maybe 10 years ago, there was an auction of an old Chevy dealership in the Midwest somewhere, maybe Kansas or Iowa, where they had a bunch of "new" Chevys stashed away from back into the 60s and 70s.  Mostly somewhat mundane cars though, pickups, some sedans, I recall there was a pace car 78 Vette. Never titled, just stored away since new.
They all seemed tired and neglected from sitting for decades under a layer of dust.
One car I wonder what happened to was a Challenger that was mentioned and might have been advertised for sale, in the early or mid 80s in the SIAC newsletter.  A dealer had a new 1970 Challenger R/T never titled.  My recollection was it was a U code and FK5 and was in Ohio.
I'll have to dig through all my old SIAC newsletters someday and see if I can find the details.  Maybe it's still stashed away somewhere with very low miles!

As a 74 Cuda owner, these are very cool.  I may be stupid, but I would drive either one.  not everyday, but I would drive it to shows, imagine it a Carlisle or Moparfest..  they would be so cool.  I would document the hell out of it sure, but still drive it.  they are so much more fun when you drive them!
1974 Cuda. 360 / A500 OD.  Yes its pink, no its not my wife's car!  Yes I drive it.

I wonder if it was difficult to establish ownership or custody of the cars if they were abandoned in the building.

We don't know that they were abandoned.  Could just be the dealership kept them stashed for ages, and recently due to a death or deciding to sell the building or something like that, they reached out to Graveyard Cars about selling them.
It'll be interesting when the whole story comes out.
This reminds me of a cuda a goofy friend of mine owned.  It's a 73 I think, blue. He bought it around 1990, and it had 16,000 miles if memory serves. I really didn't know him then, a friend of a friend.
He didn't like the car at all, so sold it to a friend of his.  Story I heard is they just parked it in a garage and never did anything with it.  I recall something fell on it in the garage and dented it.
A few years ago, I heard the guy passed, so now I'm wondering where the car ended up.
They're out there!
