Ordered a new license plate for the Challenger

So I went to the SOS to get a new custom plate "FC7RTSE"  the lady at the counter said it was available and it was ordered.

About 4 days later I got a letter in the mail from the SOS asking me to explain the meaning of my plate request as they thought it could be misconstrued and they need to know the meaning in the event they receive a complaint (REALLY?)

Anyway, so I fill out their form and simply offer an alternative "383RTSE" as this cannot be miscontrued.

I am awaiting their response.

I had the same problem twice and both times my letter was enough to convince them to give me what I wanted. My issues were with "6PK RAG" and "A6PAC2GO"

To this day it still boggles my mind that @MEK-Dangerous has/had both "DAMCOOL" and "DAMFAST" license plates issued to him in the state of Maryland.

So, I go to turn the DAMFAST licence plate in after I sold the car.... The little old lady at the counter just about fainted. She said, "I can't believe they issued you this plate".  LOL!!

Look, I'm just turning it in lady, just don't put a curse on me.  PLEASE....


So I do the 4th of July parade with my local car club with my new Challenger.  I have to say it's a little queasy to hear 5 and 6 year old kids shout out DAMCOOL.  I know the parent's must hate me, but my car was a hit with kids.

Jeff, my car is named Barney, and he has stepped up his game this year. We need to take Melanie over to see him, because he will put on a show for her.
