I don't want to detract from anyone's reply here they're all excellent avenues of getting the job done...But I want to throw this out there.. If anyone doesn't have the ability to paint or want to go the multi-stage route for component finishing and doesn't want the cheap paint results, the only rattle can I would consider is the VHT Black All-weather epoxy..That stuff is tough.. That's the only durable rattle can paint I've ever found that will hold up...I've used it on chassis components on 4 wheel drive trucks and it's held up to years of outdoor use..It comes in gloss and satin black...It would be what I would consider to be overkill on interior components https://www.vhtpaint.com/specialty/vht-epoxy-all-weather-paint

That is better than the implement paint, It's urethane.

Lining up a local (highly recommended) powder coat/blasting shop to do my 440 K frame. He quoted me $250 and that didn't seem too bad when I factor in my time. I'll be asking him about their ability to produce a matte/semi gloss.

Good choice! you should ask about exhaust manifolds while your there.

Finally dropped my K frame off at the powder coat guy. Impressive shop, he's all business. I'll post when it's done.

I used semi gloss or sems trim black for every component of the interior. The interior parts will never be exposed to the elements.I never had an issue with any of sems products.Best finish out of the can imo.

Many have suggested to get away from rattle cans.

I'm working on blasting and painting; seat tracks, seat frames, and pedals

These are all black, so before I pick up a can of SEM or Rustoleum which I actually think is decent product,  what should I be using ?

A single stage paint?  are you guys also clearing these parts?  do you use a satin paint and gloss paint? or use additive.

For sheen correct me if I am wrong; factory paint on tracks looked semi gloss? the seat frames and springs looked high gloss? and I have no idea on pedals.

Thank you!
If you are an individual who doesn't have access to a good Powder coater or if you are a home hobbyist that's not looking for a top of the line finish there's nothing wrong with using "rattle can" paint... as long as the parts are prepped and using a good epoxy primer is key to a durable finish. but if I were relying on a "True" restoration shop charging good money to restore my car I'd be more than a little upset to find out they used a "Rattle Can" to paint my parts. There's a high end shop around the corner from me that produces award winning restorations on all makes/models of cars and from time to time I stop in and visit, they at least paint all there parts they use a catalyzed paint. After they saw the Powder coated finish than Mike Ross @ B/E&A applied to my suspension parts they switched there process to get a more realistic looking finish.

Your black for most of the parts should be a 80% gloss sheen. It is a pain in the ass to disassemble your seat tracks and if you blast them make sure you clean out all the media stuck in the grooves and rollers. I would just paint them intact as a whole unit, those little ball bearings are a bitch to get back in.

I would strongly consider powder coating the seat frames not for the durability as much as the importance of cooking out the 50 year old "Cat Piss" smell that the metal as absorbed. There's nothing worse than walking by a nice looking car and catching a whiff of an "old musty" interior.

I sandblasted every metal component on my car. That includes dash frame, seat track, seat frames and interior trim.I use a good primer then I painted the seat frames, and tracks with semi gloss.I sprayed the interior trim with sems.I also spray my dash frame with sems.Yes out the can and it looks great. The  reason I use sems out of the can is because if you scratch something you can touch it up with the can and it will match perfect.
