I ordered a new aftermarket 71-74 wiring harness for my 71 Cuda since it was spliced but decided to reuse what I have after repairing it, but after comparing the two I wonder if the one that came in my car was even original, I know some aftermarket parts can be off but which one is closer to OEM. The hole in the firewall is 1.030" which seems really big and the wiring on the old one is about 6" longer but it does have a part number tag so it has to be original... doesn't it ? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1971 used a much larger grommet in a different location then a 1970.  :alan2cents: Your 71 should be right above the gas pedal.
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

It is right above the gas pedal, I just want to make sure the grommet is the correct diameter before I resize the hole.
