Has anyone heard the rumors that the RTS Cuda has resurfaced and possibly changed hands?  I had heard rumors that the car was in Ontario but recently I heard Michigan?  I would love to see this car and have always been fascinated by it.  Don’t be confused with the sonic cuda . . You can tell that car because it has a blower.  The RTS Cuda has a shaker.
Drive it like you stole it . . . And they're CHASING you!

I saw this on fakebook.

I also asked if there is any info.   No answer.

If there is any possibility of viewing this car I'd be in.  Where and when?

My favorite cuda.

Didn't Steven know it's location, but the guy wouldn't sell it ? That would have been a shame, because he would have been the right person to restore and display the car with the other cars he had at the time. Now that opportunity has past :'(

Just because your the "right" person doesn't mean your gonna get it.

90 year owner who bought it in 1976 is still alive.
Car is true V code,  has 46 miles on odometer.
Car is serial #005.

So he bought it, gave it a custom paint job and never drove it?!

The story I heard was Juliano knew of the car's location and had spoken with its owner. But it couldn't be bought.  The owner was either involved in the cars creation and/or had bought it soon after the RTS tour ended, and was quite attached to it and wouldn't let it go at any price.
That is fine and I can respect his thinking.  My only possible criticism is that if you own something historic, I feel as it's caretaker you have a degree of responsibility to share it to some extent, such as displaying it at shows, loaning to a museum or at least allowing magazine or book writers to photograph it so people can see it.
A quality of Steve was that even though his museum was private, he hosted many events there or even graciously invited some visitors for private tours of his museum, and took cars to events.
Even when he was in his last days, he worked with Bob Ashton on a plan to display the other 3 RTS cars at MCACN knowing he wouldn't be in any condition to be there with them.  He ended up passing away several months before that years show, but his cars were there in his memory and honor.  :andyangel:

Plymouth commisioned Chuck Miller of Styline Customs to create the Cuda as seen.
First paint scheme for the 1970 tour and then repainted as it is seen today for the summer 1971 final RTS tour.
Owner bought it through Chrysler as seen today.

Now I have heard that the gentleman has passed and the son has made a deal to sell and / or possibly already has.  I do know Steve Juliano knew where the car was but was unable to obtain it.  All the other 3 cars have sold at auction.

On fakebook ebodies.org there is some talk there that the kids are selling or did sale.

Nothing else.  Typical Fake book.

Because of photos posted that were taken before the current owner took possession of the car?  It's a 50 year old car, that went on a public tour around the country.  twice.   there's gonna be pictures of the car 'out there'
