That must be a display picture from 1971.  Cool pic.

Mopars Unlimited on FB has this up and is taking the pic down - "Any pictures of the RTS Cuda prototype on the rollback will be deleted. Facebook has warned us that the group might be eliminated if pictures like this continue to be posted. That picture has been deemed as the (Intellectual property) of someone and posted without their consent."

Our FB page received the same warning and I have been deleting it when it appears.  We don't want to lose our page . .

But IMO this is ridiculous  . . .
Drive it like you stole it . . . And they're CHASING you!

I have it posted on my group page and haven`t received any warnings yet. Rumor has it that a certain someone wants to announce it as a "find" and is looking to make $$ from the hits on youtube, IG etc.   :dunno:

You have to ask yourself....How does an actual picture like the one in question get on the Internet ? One person only, took the picture and had possession of it...that's how pictures work.....So then that picture was shared either with the buyer or by the buyer....So I'm guessing it was shared by either the seller or the buyer on a public forum....if it was neither one of those guys, the only one left is the tow truck driver....either way...it's "out there now" no stopping it....

If it makes you feel better, you can take it off of this site too.....I've saved a copy...

Somebody should BLAST Craigslist with this picture in question on the roll back....Just place an ad "looking for more information"  :soshelp:

Indeed, there is a guy who is pissed I called him out for making up a story about the stolen picture.  And now he decided to just make up stuff about me.

I'm just working for the lawyers who made us all sign NDAs about the car.  I'm not making a dime on anything.

I took the picture, and only 6 people could have the pictures I took.  One guy had this picture on his phone and was showing it off at Autorama in Detroit.  When he went to the bathroom, someone stole the phone and took the picture.  Thankfully he only had the one on the phone.  But unfortunately it means it's a constant battle.

So Ryan, are you the guy that is upset ? or are you the guy that a person is upset with ? What is the big deal about the picture being "out there" ?

The owners of the car are upset the individual leaked the picture.  I'm just unfortunately the youngest guy in the group and know "the internet" better than them so they make me do the dirty work.

In journalism they say, "Let you control the information, not the information control you."  Now that the picture leaked, all these made up stories are being created, tall tails, wild accusations, "Steve Stories".  And they are all untrue.  When everything is all done, there is going to be a press release on the car with the entire story, pictures and such.  But it isn't ready yet.

Just goes to show, read the fine print when signing stuff.

Ok so I understand the owner(s) don`t need a reason - it`s thier car so they are entitled to keep it under wraps if they want but what is the big deal over letting a pic out on the internet? It`s a very historic car and many of us Mopar people would love to see it and know more about it. Hopefully it will be shown at Carlisle and other shows now and not just hidden away for decades again.

Bullitt-

OR it's all part of a well conceived publicity stunt of which we are unwitting participants

You're right, they just don't want it out there for now.

I currently have a ton of pictures of the car, and cant' do anything with them until the finalization of the NDA.

I think from the nature of what Ryan wrote down, he is unlikely to give you details?  :dunno:

Seems odd a person doesn't want any pictures of what they have out there...unless they stole it...lol...

Must be some money angle.
