In case you were wondering....

Chrysler has pretty much used 3 gallons as their standard for quite a few years.  That 3 gallon number is always in my head when the light comes on.

Perfect opportunity to post something that cracked me up this morning.... I stopped to fill my daily driver & in the next lane is a mid 20's guy with a Plum Crazy Challenger SRT8 with the shaker... Nice car.... He put in $10, about 2 gallons....   BTDT, I to the car I just gotta choose between the payment, insurance, registration & the fuel....

Here's an interesting fact...

"At full throttle, the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye's high-output engine consumes 1.43 gal/min (5.4 liters/min) of fuel — enough to drain the fuel tank in just under 11 minutes, yet is still rated at 22 mpg when driven in normal highway conditions," according to a news release.

"SHOTGUN!!"

I just want to know WHERE a Hellcat can be driven at full throttle for 11 minutes?

Pretty accurate.  I've taken my jeep cherokee's a typical of 75 miles after the light comes on.  But I try to limit it to 60 miles.  Most towns in colorado are about 60 miles apart.
Cool chart but it doesn't show my chevy truck specs.

Gotta keep the lower grade techs busy changing fuel pumps...
