So a few years ago I had a chance to buy this triple black 1970 cuda, original 440 auto shaker hood car but didn't have the cash or somewhere to put it so had to pass.   A friend of mine brother ended up buying the car.  I was at a show in October, last good show of the season with the convertible and a couple guys came up and I over heard them say that my car looked like this guys car.  So I spoke up and said "yeah he has a really nice triple black Cuda!"  They looked at me and said, "you obviously haven't heard that he rolled the car!"  Wow I couldn't believe it! So finally saw my friend in the grocery store and asked  . . . It was true?  I guess the brother wanted to buy the car from the insurance company but was told they wanted more than he was willing to pay. Said they came and got the car yesterday. Will be going up for auction somewhere . . Whole lot of nice parts remain I would assume.  Didn't see the car after wrecked but it was really nice prior.  If anyone sees it come up for auction, would like to know.  Sad days . . .

Sad to see a car get totaled, but it sounds like he was okay?

Ya, getting in a serious accident with one of these cars is a lot more dangerous to the occupants than with current cars for sure. I have gone by accidents over the years and wondered to myself...if that was me in my Challenger...

Do you have the identification for the car?
It's Vin number?  Fender tag?

He survived but ended up with 19 staples in his head.  I'm sure I could get a copy of the fender tag or VIN if I ask.  Wish I could have got a few parts from the car before it went away . .

Rolled V Code Cuda  I don't know the person who posted the video but it looks like the same car?

Almost certainly the same car.
From what I could get from the video the VIN is BS23V0B202492.
Fender tag is missing.  I wonder if it's been gone for awhile or someone stole it off the wreck.

Hard to tell, but doesn't look terrible.
Wonder what the buy back number was, that he didn't pay up.

This is what my 71 cuda looked like before we fixed it.  Looks similar damage wise.

I think the reason some of these cars get the "total" status. It's because people insure them incorrectly. My two cents....Joe
