I am trying to educate myself on the Scat Pack cars.

Where all RT's considered part of the Scat Pack?

What determined if you got the rumble bee on your quarter windows?

Thanks

Dan

Yes all R/T pkg cars had the Bee in the 1/4 windows & were Scat Pack cars , not sure about the A66 340 cars in 70 though

6bblgt

the 1970 "Scat Pack" included all of the "badged" performance cars at Dodge
Charger R/T
* '69 Daytona made the brochure
Coronet R/T
Super Bee
340 Swinger
Challenger R/T
..... and probably included 340 Challenger & T/A

I have yet to see supporting documentation, but it appears "stripe DELETE" V68/V88 cars did not receive 1/4 window BEEs  :dunno:

Scat Pack Bee decal was listed as part of the A66 340 package...

I wonder if a lot of people took them off, because I've found it very rare to come across an original car with Bee's on them and I've recently restored 5 1970 Challenger R/T's
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

I have a 28000 mile survivor 70 Challenger R/T 440 convertible. Quarter windows have the original Scat Pack bee decals. The original owner, who's now 74, told me that they were in place when he took delivery. Dealer may have installed them if the factory didn't. They are very cool.

RUNCHARGER

My first 70 R/T had them from the factory as well.

Thanks for the comments guys.

I am in Australia and mine is the only one I have seen with the Bee on the 1/4 window yet all the stuff I have read online suggests its all RT's. Challenger RT examples are pretty thin over here though.

Cheers

I read something years ago that Dodge applied the stickers to performance cars that would run in the 14's or better in the 1/4 mile.

It's also interesting to note that many E-body owners have found the original decal backing sheets ( whatever they are called) under the carpet. I have both of mine. Evidently the line worker just threw those in the car after installing the bee decals. I have a small collection of extra stuff (screws, bolts, broadcast sheet, etc.) that I found when I took out the carpet. Seems like a lot of the trash went out with the cars.

Both our 1971 R/T Challengers have the Scatpack decals, they are a little faded and cracked and sure appear original.

I wonder if there was any specific instruction as to the exact location to place the decal in the rear quarter windows as the decals on our cars sure aren't in the exact same spot on the windows.

6bblgt

the backing for the originals had one corner cut at an angle to help with positioning on the glass

there were different part numbers for A, B & E-bodies, most the reproductions & "NOS" have the 3505100 RH & 3505101 LH b-body part numbers

Challenger was 3505102 RH / 3505103 LH

@GrandpaKevin This Chrysler Engineering Illustration is in the Resources section of this great website. Check it out.

P.S. @6bblgt always posts useful information! Amazing amount of E-body knowledge.

Thanks guys.

I assume the illustrations and part numbers are the same for 1971 Challengers also?
