.....          .....  "stripe DELETE" = NO BEES  (& HAMTRAMCK won't have any SUPER BEEs in house - or is the car from LA?)

more like when the ordered car showed up at the dealership without window Bees  - the dealership put what they had in the parts room on it to satisfy the customer

@6bblgt Not trying to put you on the spot, just curious did you find out something new on this since this thread?

I thought the concensus was stripe delete cars still got the bees.

MrLee's car back when he got it in the late 80s/early 90s and you can just see the bee decal in the quarter window, it's a stripe delete car.
Car was ordered for dealer inventory if I'm not mistaken.

My original '70 U code Challenger R/T was stripe delete and didn't have them.
Contrary to the opinions of some, I am not dumber than I look.

What factor decided whether a '70 got the Scat Pack decal ?

I think it was quarter mile in under 14? seconds. I don't recall the exact number, but my buddy with the hellcat said "how cute" lol

Here's one from Carlisle, 2006 - an original paint survivor, yes the bee placement looks fugazy but maybe that's Dodge quality control for you? Or someone just stuck them there, who knows. I'm sure I have more examples, offhand I can think of a survivor stripe delete LA-built 383 R/T SE with A/C that had both the airtemp and bee decal in the quarter window, also from Carlisle years ago.

I don't doubt some stripe delete cars came with bees, and some came without, just curious if any new info had surfaced as to what was "supposed" to happen. From the above thread I linked to it would seem an engineering drawing stipulated that A66 cars with stripe delete still kept the bees.

I know when I got my 73 Challenger in 89 some of the first things I did were to add a flip top gas cap and quarter window bees because I thought they looked cool.

Dave Waldon's "highest scoring RESTORED judged car in the world" has both the Bee and the Air Temp decals :alan2cents:
